The CSULB UI/UX Design Bootcamp provides you with hands-on training and resources designed to help you become a multidisciplinary graphic designer focusing on UI, UX, and visual design.

400 Program Hours

This bootcamp consists of 400-in class hours, which begins with our 30-hour Introductory Course. You will be able to test drive the program and see if the graphic design field is right for you before making a financial commitment to the Extended Program. Once you move on, you will have access to the rest of the program, which explores design fundamentals before teaching how to successfully research, design, and develop UI/UX assets. In addition, participants of the Extended Program have access to a multitude of educational resources, such as the Design Hub and Q&A sessions.

Portfolio-Building Projects

The curriculum consists of 15-specialized courses, many of which provide the opportunity to work on various projects alongside your classmates. These project-based exercises will allow you to practice with real-world applications and in-demand industry tools so you can gain hands-on experience in UI and UX design. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, learners will be able to compile these exercises into assets they can display in their portfolios.

How to Think Like a Designer

Learn how to think like a designer and visualize how to implement digital design in physical spaces. This course also covers virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Visual Design Essentials

This course explores the history and theory of design and teaches important graphic and visual design essentials. This section will introduce you to Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.

UX Design Essentials

This course introduces you to the foundations of user experience design and teaches how to develop and create functional digital assets. You will explore the information architecture structure and learn how to utilize it when organizing your design plans.

Conducting Research

Discover how to properly conduct market research and develop products that meet user, market, and business needs. This course introduces you to remote tools such as Miro, Otter.ai, and Zoom.

Ideating & Prototyping

Learn how to layout and identify various design solutions through design sketches and paper prototypes.

Usability Testing

This course teaches you how to run a usability test successfully and what role they play in building web designs and programming.

High-Fidelity Design
